Lumber Allowances Discrepancies
These two statements show the fraud McCreary committed when charging our allowance for the lumber used in framing our home. We had been demanding receipts since he first said that we were only to receive $2380 in refunds for our lumber allowance. We knew the real figure should be much larger and asked for receipts to verify the amount McCreary was alleging. Instead McCreary offered a vague statement from Mike Clark, owner of Terra Cotta Framing that the amount for the lumber charge was $45,7000. We again said we wanted receipts. We finally got the receipts 2 ½ years later when we subpoenaed them. You can see by the Holderness lumber document to the left of McCreary's statement that the actual amount Terra Cotta paid for the lumber was $36,142.37. This means that McCreary bilked us out of $9,557.63. And yes, he sued us!
